Durable Mat for Scraping Shoes

The top of the tiles has a grid pattern that creates a bi-level surface. As people walk across the tiles, they will scrape their shoes across the grid pattern. The bi-level design pulls soils from the soles of the shoes and keeps them away from the top surface layer, which prevents people from tracking soils further into the building.

These tiles also provide an anti slip capability. The underside of each tile has a cleated rubber backing that holds it in place as people walk across it.

The PET fiber is made from at least 90% recycled plastic material for a more eco-friendly solution.

Easy-to-Install Front Entrance Tiles

These Waterhog carpet tiles have interlocking edges that greatly simplify installation. The design of the interlocking tabs will hold the tiles together tightly, even when used in areas with significant stress from foot traffic.

The interlocking tabs have a complementary color to the main portion of each tile. The final layout will take on a grid pattern, and it will look highly professional. When the installer completes the layout, the interlocking tabs are not noticeable, as the connections blend in with the rest of the tile’s edges.

To complete an island installation and to reduce the 7/16-inch lip on these tiles, ramped borders and corners (sold separately) attach to the main tile using the same interlocking edge pattern.

If heavy foot traffic is anticipated across a border, it’s recommended to glue the borders in place with a solvent free adhesive such as S1500.

For a wall-to-wall installation, you can cut the Waterhog carpet tiles with a utility knife and a straightedge to achieve a clean cut that will fit up against the wall. Once the installer cuts the edge, however, the tile will no longer be able to connect to other tiles.

Installers receive 10 tiles per carton, giving them up to 22.5 square feet of coverage per carton. Each 18×18-inch tile is extremely sturdy, weighing 4.4 pounds, which helps to hold the entire layout in place without the need for adhesive.

Maintenance

Vacuum regularly: daily in high traffic areas and weekly in lower traffic areas. Extract clean as needed to remove heavy soil.
