When using weights at home, you want your exercise room flooring to be able to protect the finished flooring underneath. A dropped dumbbell could do quite a bit of damage to hardwood or concrete.

Home gym owners can use our high-density EVA foam to protect the subfloor from damage. You might not think of foam as being able to serve this need, but our 3/4-inch-thick tiles are incredibly tough.

Many of our customers select our EVA tiles as an alternative to rubber tiles for reasons including:

Can I drop weights on this?
While it is durable enough to place exercise equipment on, we don’t recommend dropping weights on this fitness flooring.

Can you install this on carpeting?
We don’t recommend this over carpet. The foam tile may slide across the carpet. The subfloor should be flat and hard, ideally.

Are these tiles waterproof?
These tiles will not absorb moisture. However, water can seep between the seams. Always clean up spills as soon as possible.

Will these foam mats dent?
Yes, these foam mats can dent under heavy equipment and furniture, as they are softer than rubber flooring. This doesn’t affect the use of the foam tiles.
