Versatile BJJ Mats

Our BJJ training mats work especially well for Brazilian jiu jitsu, American jiu jitsu, and other types of jiu jitsu. You can use them for MMA workouts and for grappling-style martial arts as well.

Even though they are ideal for jiu jitsu, they work nicely in most martial arts studios because of their versatility.

You can wear athletic shoes on them without causing damage. Should you want to wear boots or heavy shoes, the tiles support this footwear, but you may notice some minor scuffing.

The EVA foam creates a non-slip surface that helps athletes maintain their footing during tough martial arts workouts.

Ideal Training Mats for a DIY Installation

Because of the puzzle-style edge on these mats, you don’t need any installation experience before tackling the layout as a DIY job.Each of our jiu jitsu mats fits together tightly without the need for glue.

A single mat measures 3.3×3.3 feet and weighs only 7 pounds, so they’re easy to move around for one or two people working on the assembly.

Safe Martial Arts Floor Mats for Ground Work

Not every type of foam mat is usable for groundworkin martial arts, but the no-burn tatami surface gives these mats the perfect composition.

Tatami prevents skin burns when athletes slide across the surface, helping them remain injury-free, even during long training sessions.

Our jiu jitsu mats are not recommended for use with disciplines involving throws, like our Grappling MMA Mats are. For the best judo mat, we recommend using the 1-1/2-inch Grappling Mats for throws or using a 2-inch folding mat.

The Jiu Jitsu Mats are also popular as a subfloor for indoor golf simulators. Use these mats underneath your choice of putting green turf. The mats are thick enough to cut gold holes and insert cups.

Disclaimer

Color variation is possible from lot to lot, even within the same order. Using a checkerboard or other multi-color pattern can help make this variation less noticeable.

Existing mats may not interlock with new mats due to natural expansion and wear of used mats. Please contact customer service about any concerns.
